Automation Support Engineer

As an Automation Support Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting our customers by ensuring optimal machine configurations, offering technical expertise, and helping them get the most out of their automation investments. You will spend regular time at customer sites and be responsible for advising on the most efficient machine configurations and additional offerings, drawing up proposals that help improve production efficiency and throughput.

This role also includes identifying customer needs with a commercial mindset, proactively proposing upgrades or complementary solutions that can further enhance their processes. You will work closely with the sales and Industry 4.0 teams to ensure customers are aware of the full scope of Reynaers’ automation and digital solutions.

After extensive training, you will configure machines/software on-site and coordinate with our partners who install the machines—ensuring alignment across all components (machine, tooling, software, operators, etc.). You will deliver technical demonstrations and training to customers and provide after-sales support, either remotely or on-site, including troubleshooting and follow-ups.

You will also support customer success by:

  • Following up on questions, issues, and complaints via phone, email, or site visits.
  • Using remote tools to diagnose and resolve issues when possible.
  • Documenting interventions and coordinating with HQ to continuously improve support and solutions.
  • Spotting opportunities for process or equipment enhancements and supporting the local sales team by providing technical justification for upgrades or additional offerings.

You’ll work closely with the Industry 4.0 team at Reynaers headquarters, which acts as the central hub for technical and commercial knowledge.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A hands-on technical background and a strong interest in software—or equivalent experience.
  • An enthusiastic starter? No problem—comprehensive training is provided.
  • Fluency in Bulgarian and a good command of English (both spoken and written) to collaborate effectively with our HQ in Belgium.
  • A strong customer-first attitude—you’re only satisfied when the client is.
  • Experience with Sketch Up, Inventor or AutoCAD? That’s a plus.
  • Familiarity with Logikal or ReynaPro is an important added advantage.
  • A proactive mindset with an eye for upselling and improving customer outcomes through tailored automation solutions.
