Giving back to society with Reynaers for Community

To be a sincere partner and to have a positive impact on society: that is the true nature of a caring company such as Reynaers Aluminium. Let us show you how we support local good causes and stay connected to our direct and indirect communities.

At our Belgian and Dutch facilities, we host an annual Community Day to give back to our local community as much as possible. For one whole day, Reynaers Group employees join local good causes to help them in their daily workings. Gardening, painting houses, helping senior citizens, or joining special-needs students on a fieldtrip: our colleagues give it their all to have a lasting, positive impact. Have a look at some pictures of the 2022 Reynaers Community Day below.

Supporting local charities

At Reynaers Aluminium, we are convinced that having a motivating job with a stable income is an assured way to protect people from poverty. That is why in 2021, Reynaers family members founded Reynaers for Community. This charity initiative sponsors local non-profit organisations that improve the working and living conditions of underprivileged people. Themes that are touched upon include employment, welfare, and mental and physical health.

In 2021, four Belgian non-profit organisations were selected. Let us introduce to you these truly inspiring initiatives:

  • Filet Divers is a connecting and empowering opportunity centre as well as social grocery. Their volunteers help poor and unprivileged people integrate better in society.
  • DUO for a JOB puts unemployed young people with an immigrant background in touch with local senior volunteers that act as a mentor in their search for a new job.
  • Professional rock climbing club Rising You invites amateur climbers to turn their hobby into their profession. The organisation offers professional guidance to enable driven and well-trained “height potentials”.
  • At YouthStart, young people discover their talents and interests during a free eight-day training course. As a result, they can choose the field of study or career that fits their needs best.

By engaging with these local good causes, we stay true to our “Together for better” company spirit. Because only when we come together as a family and use our collective expertise for the greater good, we can truly make a difference.
