Aurum Residence
Set in the green landscape of Brookville, New York, Aurum Residence brings together architectural grandeur and everyday comfort in a remarkably balanced way. Architect Robert Madey designed this private home as a contemporary estate that feels both generous and grounded. Its carefully layered façade, natural materials and expansive outdoor setting give the residence a timeless presence, while the aluminium systems by Reynaers Aluminium help shape a home built for light, space and ease of living.
Timeless design
The architecture draws on familiar residential forms, yet interprets them with a refined and modern eye. A sequence of pitched roofs, stone elements and broad terraces creates a strong visual rhythm across the wide building envelope. At the same time, the house avoids feeling heavy or closed. Large glazed openings introduce transparency throughout the design and connect the living spaces to the surrounding gardens, pool and trees.
That relationship between indoors and outdoors sits at the heart of the project. Rather than treating windows and sliding doors as secondary elements, the design uses them to frame views, guide daylight deep into the interior and support a more open way of living. The result is a residence that feels calm, bright and closely linked to its landscape.
Working with Reynaers Aluminium as a long-term strategic partner is what made a project like Aurum Residence possible.

Elegant aluminium systems you can trust
To achieve this effect, the project team selected SlimLine 38 windows and doors together with SlimPatio 68 sliding doors by Reynaers Aluminium. SlimLine 38s slender profiles were a natural fit for the architect’s vision. They create a fine, steel-look appearance that adds precision to the façade while keeping sightlines elegant and restrained. This is especially visible in the larger glazed sections, where the aluminium frames support generous spans without visually dominating the composition. The Ferro design variant was chosen for its tasteful straight lines and high level of finishing.
SlimPatio 68 sliding doors play an equally important role. They help dissolve the boundary between interior and exterior, opening the main living areas towards terraces and leisure spaces. This strengthens the sense of flow throughout the home and enhances the experience of seasonal living, with daylight, views and access to the outdoors becoming part of daily life.
Efficient collaboration
The fabrication was delivered by Simpas Live Better, a joinery company based in Greece with years of expertise in delivering excellent aluminium quality in North America. "Working with Reynaers Aluminium as a long-term strategic partner is what made a project like Aurum Residence possible," says George Simpas, CEO of Simpas Live Better. "We have earned the kind of trust where they know we will deliver, and we know their systems inside out. Their systems, our fabrication, that combination is what delivers results like this."
Anastasios Kondylis, Country Manager at Reynaers Aluminium Greece, explains: "Aurum Residence is a strong example of how our systems can support high-end residential architecture with both elegance and performance. The slim profiles of SlimLine 38 and SlimPatio 68 helped realise an open, light-filled design while preserving the warmth and character of the home. We are proud that our solutions, together with the expertise of Simpas, contributed to such a refined project in Brookville. For Reynaers Aluminium, this residence shows the value of close collaboration and precise execution in delivering exceptional living spaces."
