Innovation - Energgy
In the framework of the Kyoto protocol European States aim to counter the greenhouse effect and decrease the energy use of buildings by 40% by 2020. In order to meet this goal, various measures were taken, one of which was the European Directive on the energy performance of buildings. These regulations primarily involve the energy performance of buildings, alternative energy sources, better use of climate regulation and lighting, bioclimatological concept, etc. Reynaers profiles meet the requirements in this European Directive as well as the various national norms with respect to energy performance.
Insulation at its best
Reynaers profiles are fitted with a thermal break system and have an insulation factor that varies from normal to exceptionally high, depending on your requirements.
In two- or three-chamber systems the profiles are made up of two or three separate compartments filled with air. Just as in a hollow wall the air in the chambers acts as an insulator. In the space between the chambers we place fibreglass-reinforced polyamid strips (hard plastic). The wider the filled space, the greater the insulation value and the lower the energy bill.

Eco system, the new standard for energy-efficient windows
Eco system combined aesthetic design with energy savings. With a Uf value to 2.25 W/m²K, Eco system meets the very latest insulation requirements and ensures savings on your heating costs. This brilliant performance teamed with the technical properties of a full 2-chamber system with a 50-mm recess depth, Eco system provides a solution for each standard window and door application. This makes Eco system the most efficient system in its price category.

Energy-saving shading solutions
One of the major challenges of energy management in buildings is the control over direct sunlight that penetrates the glass. When sunrays hit the window, they are partially reflected, another part penetrates the glass and yet another one is absorbed by the glass. The latter portion of solar heat gain is converted into heat that subsequently emanates on both sides of the glass.
When the glass is protected by sunscreening systems, the number of sunrays penetrating it decreases considerably, whilst the number of reflected sunrays increases. At the design stage, each building is to be protected as efficiently as possible against direct solar heat gain. The right balance is required between shading capacity and maximum daylight input, which is important for visual comfort in office buildings. It goes without saying that the orientation of the various outer walls is decisive in the choice and dimensions of the Reynaers Brise Soleil system.

Sustainable façade design
In addition to the solution provided by shading systems, there are numerous other sustainable façade designs into which aluminium systems are integrated, i.e., climate façades, double façades (secondary façades) or façades in which active use is made of sun energy by integrating photovoltaic cells, among others.
Several of these constructions were completed using Reynaers systems. For further information contact us.
