REYNAERS MAKES ITS DEBUT AT ECOBUILD 2010 REYNAERS MAKES ITS DEBUT AT ECOBUILD 2010

Permitting airflow around the entire window perimeter, Airmax facilitates greater air exchange than traditional top-hung windows.  Current emphasis on energy saving has highlighted the need for effective insulation, this can occur at the expense of good ventilation heightening the risk of condensation. Airmax can increase effective airflow by as much as 50 percent, while the design ensures optimum safety and less draught as the opening is distributed equally around the entire frame.

Reynaers’ Airmax is available as a standalone window or as part of the curtain wall range giving greater freedom of design and functionality.

The latest addition to Reynaers popular Eco door and window system is Eco 75, with its 75mm deep outer frame replicating traditional frame styles, but using modern materials. Structurally robust, offering very low maintenance with good thermal and acoustic performance Eco 75 provides high security as standard. It has a superior thermal performance to steel and concrete and is highly cost effective.
Reynaers Eco and CS windows systems correspond to the BRE Global Green Guide online generic specification for a powder coated aluminum window (profile, 0.9kg/m), double glazed (ref. 831500023) which achieves a summary reference of A within health, industrial, commercial, retail and education schemes.

In the drive to develop and implement more environmentally friendly new builds, the concern is about the environmental impact of materials used within a building. The Green Guide is part of an accredited environmental rating scheme for buildings which, when used as part of BREEAM (BRE Environmental Assessment Method), aids designers and specifiers in the selection of materials that have a relatively low environmental impact.

Reynaers fenestration products have been used on a number of prestigious new builds where the effective overall efficiency of the building has been awarded a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating.

In sustainability terms, aluminium is an exceptional material with over 75% of the aluminium ever produced in the world still in active use today, either in its original form or recycled into new products. The largest share of this, 31% is used in the construction industry. Should a project requirement be for totally recycled material Reynaers can compile a guaranteed supply resource to satisfy the scheme.

Reynaers also has an all encompassing Rey-cycle initiative which provides all the necessary information, paperwork and calculations to complete a comprehensive Site Waste Management Plan (SWMP). Not only does the Rey-cycle programme save customers a considerable amount of time and effort, it means that their customers can be assured that the maximum level of recycling is included in the SWMP, it also ensures that a plan is in position for when the products come to the end of their life-cycle.
Reynaers’ UK Head of Sales, Paul Duffy, commented: “It is imperative that we offer products that not only complement the overall design concept of a building, but also improve the building’s overall efficiency. Our continuous product development programme ensures new, innovative, energy efficient initiatives are being added to the product offering year on year.”
