REYNAERS INTRODUCES A NEW SLIDING SYSTEM WITH INTEGRATED VENTALIS REYNAERS INTRODUCES A NEW SLIDING SYSTEM WITH INTEGRATED VENTALIS

With the introduction of its new comprehensive CP 130 sliding door solution, Reynaers’ replaces its existing TP 138, TP 110 and TLS 110 range with a more advanced system that promises to enhance design and functionality with added comfort and improved insulation.

Duffel, May 2009 --- Reynaers Aluminium, leading European supplier of innovative and sustainable architectural aluminium solutions, is launching its CP 130 range as a complete solution that is fully compatible with its CS 68 profiles and accessories. The new range, offered in sliding and lift-slide systems, has an economical monorail version available as well as 2 and 3 rail options, with a variety of floor connection solutions. Architects will enjoy its versatility in functionality and design. The system allows for thicker glass applications; increasing the limits of the older TP 110 from 37 mm and TLS 110 from 30 mm to 42 mm in the CP 130 range. With this comes the benefit of access to a wider range of glass types, including laminated glass to provide additional strength and also acoustic glass. This added flexibility, with the options of sleek chicane designs, slim line variants and extra narrow profiles, opens new doors to creative design applications. Investors gain the advantage of enhanced insulation and comfort levels with elegant, easy sliding solutions.

For fabricators the compatibility of the CP 130 with CS 68 allows the economical reuse of existing CS 68 profiles and accessories, including transoms and glass support, in other applications. At the same time the new system is designed for quick and easy assembly and installation. In one system they gain access to both slide and lift-slide options with the same vent system, based on the CS 68 frame profile, servicing both options. Vents and frames can be crimped or screwed, simplifying installation of large elements considerably.

Enhanced Insulation
The improved insulation values (Uf) of up to 2.78 W/m²K (with extra insulators) are in line with their existing CS 68 window systems and is achieved by an increased build-in depth of the profile as well as the provision of gaskets under the glass. Without the extra insulators, insulation values of 2.90 W/m²K are achieved.
Reynaers’ recently introduced Ventalis ventilation system is also applicable to the CP 130 solution, ensuring sufficient levels of fresh air supply while retaining optimum levels of insulation.

Configuration
A wide range of designs for the outer frame provides versatile options in functionality.  The possibility to have a built in lower profile allows a low threshold for both the sliding and lift-sliding range. In addition to offering an economical variant, the narrow outer frame of the slide system is also suited for integration with the CR 120 conservatory. Outer frames for the lift-slide system offers solutions for an aesthetically superior flush floor as well as hidden drainage.

The lift-slide variant offers excellent tightness for optimum Air/Wind/Water (AWW) performance when the vent is lowered. The outer frame connection has been improved to increase water tightness. Special gasket sealing units, replacing the silicone alternative, also contribute to deliver more reliable water tightness and facilitate easier assembly.

The maximum vent weight for both the sliding and lift-sliding range is 300 Kg; 100 Kg more then the current TP 110 range. Mr. Amaury de Cordes, Chief Marketing Officer, explains the rationale behind this new development: “We consistently strive to improve our product ranges across the full spectrum. This includes continuous work to economically improve insulation values and ventilation, wider diversity of application and simpler fabrication processes without sacrificing aesthetic appeal, durability and flexibility of application. The CP 130 solution achieves that to great effect.”
