Reynaers event 2008 Reynaers event 2008

With offices in 27 countries and a presence in more than 50 countries, Reynaers Aluminium seem well on their way to achieve their aim to increase annual turnover by 48% to 450 million EUR by 2012.
The growth of Reynaers Aluminium is built on multiple key strategic pillars.
“This expansion is based on three critical strategic drives, says Martine Reynaers, CEO: “These are our focus on innovation and new product launches; our geographical expansion and our firm commitment to strengthen our strategic partnerships with all key stakeholders”.
The Reynaers Institute, their testing and research facility, is now being expanded by 80% to 2800 m² to become one of the largest private test centres in the industry. It accommodates highly sophisticated testing equipment and establishes their reputation as leaders in the field of innovation in aluminium solutions and ensures them an increased competitive advantage in the market. Amongst the new testing units Reynaers Aluminium have added, are new cyclic and mechanical testing machines, an acoustic chamber and another air, wind and water testing rig. The expansion also provides the capacity to accommodate more research programs in future as well as more testing capacity for large projects for which tailor made solutions are designed.
The focus on constant innovation is also shown by the number of new products Reynaers Aluminium brings to the market. In 2008 alone Reynaers will launch and update more than 20 products ranging from integration of photovoltaic panels in their curtain walls and brise soleil products to the launch of their new solution for full automatisation of the fabrication of aluminium systems.
In addition to its ecologically friendly features, Aluminium is also considered as the material for the future by the architects. According to comments made by architects during a recent Reynaers survey, aluminium will continue to grow in popularity as a building material, both in the residential and non-residential markets. This not only due to its versatility and light weight, but also to its ecologically friendly footprint and its growing capacities in fire- and bullet-proofing and thermal insulation capabilities.  The survey shows that 85% of architects consider aluminium as the material of choice for non-residential buildings and 72% for residential construction.
In terms of geographical expansion, Reynaers believe that the growing markets in Central and Eastern Europe and in the Middle East are the most promising ones to pursue at this point in time. They are fast developing countries and economies with huge expansion projects in both the residential and business sectors and aluminium products will offer them durable, attractive and versatile energy efficient solutions. This happens in two extreme poles in terms of climatic requirements; from extreme cold in Eastern Europe to the heat and dust of the Middle East.  Reynaers Aluminium already have a strong presence in all these markets.
Reynaers Aluminium recognizes that their success depends on the success of their partners. Working together for a better future for all is the cornerstone of Reynaers’ commitment to invest in their unique relationships with all the stakeholders in their value chain, i.e. customers (both fabricators and end-users), suppliers, and employees. To achieve this Reynaers will continue to provide all the tools, machines, software and support their customers need to become even more professional to face new markets requirements. In support of this, Reynaers have just launched Reynapro, their new calculation, fabrication and ordering software. This new software brings more accuracy, efficiency and quality and also offers compatibility with various specialized software and machining solutions.
“Our strategy will continue to be the leading specialists in aluminium systems and we believe that the strengthening of our ties with all our stakeholders will contribute significantly to even further accelerate our growth in years to come”, says Martine Reynaers.
Reynaers Aluminium believes in pursuing its growth objectives while respecting the environment. Their commitment to improving their carbon footprint is tangibly illustrated by the fact that an area of 10.000 m² on the massive roof of the brand new warehouse is used to carry 3072 photovoltaic sun panels that have been installed to generate 500 000 Kwh solar energy per annum; the equivalent of the electricity supply for 166 families. In the process they reduce CO2 emissions by 278 tons per year.
