Reynaers Aluminium’s corporate strategy is based on the integration of principles of financial profitability, social commitment and care for the environment. Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development are no vague concepts to our company. In practice this commitment is translated into concrete actions.

 

Care for the environment is also our concern

Reynaers Aluminium is aware that companies play an important role in the care for the environment. We take this responsibility seriously, by paying special attention to an ecologically responsible production process and by minimizing the amount of packaging.

The company has also set up a programme to reduce energy consumption. At our headquarters in Duffel, for instance, energy usage was reduced with 37% from 2008 to 2010. Also in Duffel, the roof of the warehouses is covered with 16,000 m² of photovoltaic panels, meeting over 80% of the electricity needs of the Reynaers’ headquarters.

Moreover, Reynaers works with one of the greenest materials available: aluminium. Aluminium is highly durable and 100% recyclable, a process that Reynaers actively encourages.

Valuing diversity and talent

Reynaers Aluminium is present in over 25 countries and employs more than 1,000 workers. The company conducts a personnel policy that promotes equal opportunities and diversity and aims to value the talent of the men and women it employs impartially. This policy respects local regulations and habits applicable in the countries in which the company is active. Skill development is implemented through a permanent training programme for both executives and workers.


 
Integrity and open communication

Integrity and honesty are core values at Reynaers. The company complies with ethics rules with respect to sound management. That is why the Board of Directors is made up of 50% external directors and 50% internal directors. The company promotes dialogue and encourages open communication with all its internal and external partners.

  

Social commitment
As a socially responsible company Reynaers also aims to take on its social role in society. That is why the company has decided to provide financial aid to specific social projects submitted by employees. In this way it gives a concrete interpretation to its social commitment and fosters increased solidarity among its employees
