Energy

In the framework of the Kyoto protocol European States aim to counter the greenhouse effect and decrease the energy use of buildings by 40% by 2020. In order to meet this goal, various measures were taken, one of which was the European Directive on the energy performance of buildings. These regulations primarily involve the energy performance of buildings, alternative energy sources, better use of climate regulation and lighting, bioclimatological concept, etc.

Reynaers systems meet the requirements in this European Directive as well as the various national norms with respect to energy performance.

Insulation at its best

Aluminium windows are designed to keep out the cold.

Reynaers profiles are fitted with a thermal break system and have an insulation factor that varies from normal to exceptionally high, depending on your requirements.

The profiles' thermal break also prevents condensation on your windows. There are obviously extreme cases in which condensation appears anyway, when the air is saturated with steam, among others. This can be simply prevented by building in ventilation grids.

Energy savings using several chambers

In two- or three-chamber systems the profiles are made up of two or three separate compartments, filled with air, referred to as chambers. Just like in hollow walls the air acts as an insulator in the chambers. In the space between the chambers we place fibreglass-reinforced polyamid strips (hard plastic). The wider the filled space, the higher the insulation value, and the lower your energy bill!

Glass choice determines insulation value

Well-insulated windows require carefully chosen glass. Today double glazing is the minimum requirement, i.e., two layers of glass with a dry air layer in between, which provides thermal insulation. But the glass choice is also important to acoustic insulation, i.e., thicker glass is better at keeping out noise – and different-width windows are twice as efficient. All the more comfortable for you!

Eco system, the new standard in energy-efficient windows,

Eco system combines aesthetic design with energy savings. With an Uf value up to 2.25 W/m²K, Eco system satisfies the latest insulation requirements and enables you to save on heating costs. With the combination of this brilliant performance and the technical features of a full 2-chamber system with a 50-mm recess depth, Eco system provides a solution for each standard window and door application. This makes Eco system the best performing system in its price category.

Concept system®, superior insulation

Thermal insulation is one of the many assets of Concept system®, an exclusive 3-chamber technique developed by Reynaers. The inside and outside of a CS profile are not only separated from each other using thermal bridging with high insulation value, but also a unique central seal, which is made up of additional insulating air chambers. In our CS you will choose from three profiles with various strip widths and therefore also different insulation factors. In addition the profiles are provided with a continuous acoustic seal, which ensures superior sound insulation.
